FAQS

Foreign students, including graduates of German schools in foreign countries and partner schools that do not have a German school degree, should apply to the Freie Universität Berlin through Uni-assist. Uni-assist collects and verifies the applications of foreign students on behalf of the universities and sends them by complete application status to the universities. More information about the application procedure can be found here.

Grade boundaries are not predetermined. In fact, only the number of the study places to be awarded is established. Whether someone gets a study place depends most of all on the number and quality of the competing applications. The grade boundaries published in the "NC-list” therefore relate only to past and never to future proceedings. Further information and regular updates on the approval procedure at the Freie Universität Berlin and to the "Numerus Clausus" and the "NC-list" can be found here under "Numerus Clausus (NC)”

If you have questions regarding your application please contact the Information Service of the Freie Universität Berlin. They will advise you promptly and professionally and will provide important notices and information to guide you through the application procedure. Additional information is available on the specific website of each of the various programs. Information about admission of applicants with foreign university entrance qualification can be found here.
