In just 4 sessions all the basics for your successful science career!
The target group of the fu:binar series are master's students and doctoral students of all disciplines as well as research associates with German and/or English language skills who are interested in an international career in science.
Contant and aims
The steps of a scientific career include doctoral studies, scientific internships and successfully applying for a postdoctoral or research position in various places, including abroad. The seminars include information on the differences between academic careers in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Germany, the resulting different approaches to doctoral studies as well as to the acquisition of research skills in the context of scientific internships.
International experience in teaching, research and the acquisition of external funding are decisive in the selection process for the position as scientist and professor. To gain the necessary experience, universities, such as Freie Universität Berlin, offer continuing education programmes. In addition, opportunities for making contacts, working on scientific topics and funding will be discussed.
