I've had many people tell me that "doing a PhD is very hard.. you have to study all the time.. you won't have a social life.. blah blah". Are these rumors true? Well, doing a PhD is hard work. You will be spending hours and hours toward your thesis for 3-4 years but that totally doesn't mean that you can't have fun doing it. Let me show you my experience as a PhD student at @fu_berlin :) •
My name is Abhishek and this week I'll be attending a winter school at a small commune called "Les Houches" in eastern France. It is a great little place for skiing and is also home to a renowned Physics school called "École de physique des Houches". Many nobel laureates including Richard Feynmann, Kip Thorne and Enrico Fermi have been at this school at one point or another. I'll be sharing details of my travel, day-to-day life and the activities at the winter school; with some skiing, of course ;)
