The request for a leave of absence must be submitted independently through the Self-Services portal. The request can be made no earlier than along with the re-registration or, at the latest, within six weeks after classes have commenced.

If you are personally unable to submit the application due to illness, study abroad or an internship outside of Berlin, a written authorization for another person is required.
