Dr. Arito Rüdiger Sakai (E-Mail: email@example.com) studied philosophy, art history, journalism and communication at the University of Vienna and the Free University Berlin and wrote a doctoral thesis in philosophy about Michel Foucault. He was one of the authors of the dictionary of aesthetics, published by Metzler publishing house, and taught at the Bauhaus University Weimar. Since 2010 he has been teaching media theory and aesthetics at the University of the Arts in Berlin with a focus on photography and film history. In addition, he teaches intercultural communication, media ethics, social sciences and art and design history at private universities/ academies. His current research projects deal with political and aesthetic authority, the ethical deconstruction of morality and experiment in the modern age, with topics at the interdisciplinary interface between philosophy, political thought and art history.
