United Nations and European Union Documentation Center

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you can currently only reach us via our contact form, via email or phone (+49 (0) 30 838 - 523 99).  Online coachings may be held via Webex Meeting.  The use of printed EU / UN literature and UN documents is currently only possible in selected libraries and the University Library. Provided media can be picked up at the following times: Mon-Fri 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Find out more about the current status here.

The University Library has been serving as a United Nations Depository Library since 1956 and as a European Documentation Center since 1963. The two functions are combined in the United Nations and European Union Documentation Center (Dokumentationszentrum Vereinte Nationen – Europäische Union). We provide assistance for students, teachers and resarchers at Freie Universität Berlin.

You aren't a member of Freie Universität Berlin? Of course, we also offer our services for other universities and the general public.

Are you looking for original documents or case law concerning current debates on the level of European politics or of the United Nations? Our extensive collections will be useful to you.

Can we assist you in using UN or EU databases?

Would you like to make an appointment for a consultation, for coaching or for training?

Please contact us. As part of the United Nations and European Union information network, we are specialized in topics in that context and in making them accessible. You can reach us at any time through our contact form.

Please visit us and come to our events, such as the Berliner Europa-Dialog.

You can also read our Biblioblog postings.

The Documentation Center Team is looking forward to your enquiry.
