In the newly created course of studies in Bioinformatics, which was established together with the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, students learn, among other things, how to deal with genome sequencing in both the Bachelor's and Master's programs. The Algorithmic Bioinformatics working-group also works on making the results available to other researchers in the form of freely accessible software libraries, thus making an important contribution to the entire scientific community. The Master's program in Bioinformatics was classified as a BUA Joint Degree study-program by the Berlin University Alliance in June 2021.
