Sabine Winterkamp was born in Lichtenstein (Saxony) and studied Germanistik, Intercultural Communication, and Psychology at the University of Chemnitz and in Perpignan (France). During her studies she began work as a tutor for undergraduate students at her university and taught German as a Foreign Language for different organizations. At this time she also worked for six months in Alcalà de Henares (Spain) as an Assistant Teacher. In 2005, Sabine Winterkamp became a German lecturer at the Université Blaise Pascal in Clermont-Ferrand (France). For three years she taught German language at various levels, business German, and regional and cultural studies. Since she moved to Berlin in 2009 she has worked in a language school (Neue Schule) and in the Young Learners Program of the Goethe Institute.
