Jerrold holds German Literature and Philosophy degrees from the universities of Minnesota and Massachusetts. He’s been teaching languages, writing, literature and philosophy courses for over thirty years. Publishing and research interests include 19^th and 20^th century lyric poetry, free-thinkers of the Weimar Republic, existentialism in psychology from the American Civil War through fin de siècle Vienna and speed’s crushing modern advance. Jerrold’s a consummate wilderness traveler and nomad – spending a decade hitch-hiking through the EU in the ‘90s. He’s also still searching for a cure for a mild stand-up comedy addiction.
