IRTG of CRC 765 "Multivalency"
Integrated Research Training Group of SFB / CRC 765:
Multivalency as a Chemical Organization and Action Principle: New Architectures, Functions, and Applications
Research Focus
Multivalent interactions play a major role in the self-assembling of materials, recognition processes and signal transduction in biological systems. The understanding of multivalent interactions and specific development of new multivalent architectures are of great significance for important biological issues, like novel therapeutic concepts for the reduction of inflammation or the prevention of viral or bacterial infections, as well as material science, e.g. for the design of novel surface layers for functional materials.
