Goodwill regulations of the VBB for the semester ticket for the winter semester 20/21

The following temporary regulation concerning the Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB) semester ticket will apply until April 30, 2021:

  1. VBB semester tickets for winter semester 2020/21 that expired on March 31, 2021, will continue to be accepted as a valid ticket for use of the public transportation system up to and including April 30, 2021.
    Students are required to carry with them an original copy of their certificate of enrollment for summer semester 2021.* This also applies to the supplementary ticket to the semester ticket for students who commute from outside of the ABC fare zones (Zusatzticket).
  2. For first-time students who just enrolled for summer semester 2021, but who have not received their semester ticket, they can use their certificate of enrollment for summer semester 2021* in combination with another legal form of identification (e.g., German National Identity Card).

This regulation also applies to the period through April 30, 2021.

* Here, by “original version of the certificate of enrollment,” we mean the original physical copy, or the original digital version printed on white paper in the original size.
