Revised Basic Hygiene Plan for Freie Universität Berlin

On October 6, 2020, the Executive Board of Freie Universität Berlin approved a revised basic hygiene plan for Freie Universität Berlin. The university’s goal is to prevent the spread of infection on campus. The new plan reflects the latest information regarding occupational health and safety and currently applicable regulations in relation to the pandemic, in order to better protect university employees from infection.
The Berlin State Chancellery – Higher Education and Research and the Landeskonferenz der Rektoren und Präsidenten der Berliner Hochschulen (LKRP) have jointly published the “State of Berlin’s Phased Plan for Reintroducing Normal On-site Operations with Pandemic-related Protective Measures at Universities.” The phased plan serves the purpose of coordinating the response of universities and other higher education institutions.
Following the joint agreement and in accordance with the provisions set out in the said phased plan, Phase 2 restrictions have applied since October 8, 2020, at universities and colleges in Berlin and will apply until further notice.
