First day of the digital semester at Berlin’s universities set for April 20
News from Apr 03, 2020
The digital semester at Berlin’s universities will start on April 20. Some courses, however, are already scheduled to start earlier than that. In response to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 summer semester in Berlin will be characterized by flexibility, understanding, and trust. That is the approach agreed upon by the Senate Chancellery Higher Education and Research together with Berlin’s state, private, and religious higher education institutions.
Since face-to-face instruction cannot take place at the moment, the universities want to find ways to provide students with a wide range of courses offered through digital platforms, including opportunities to take exams remotely. We would like to thank all the people working to make the 2020 Berlin summer semester a success: students, instructors, university employees, and everyone else involved!
