On the 2nd and 3rd of April 2019, the second European high-level conference on connected and automated driving will take place in Brussels. The event is organized by the European Commission, under the participation of the EC-funded project ARCADE.
The conference 'Connected and Automated Driving: Europe Takes the Lead’ is an opportunity for research centers, universities and various other stakeholders such as industry representatives and road authorities to network and exchange ideas on the major challenges related to automated mobility.
During the two-day event the current state of play of the EC’s strategy for mobility of the future will be discussed, taking into account how its deployment can contribute to a cutback of road fatalities, harmful emissions and congestion. A fourfold perspective including legal and regulatory measures, financing, ethical, and societal aspects will be taken into account.
Various plenary meetings will be complemented by nine thematic breakout sessions.
On the official event website, you can find the preliminary agenda and further information.
Registration to the conference is free.
