On the occasion of the World Food Day on October 16, 2019, the European Commission's Food 2030 Initiative is organizing a high-level event in Brussels entitled "FOOD 2030: Nourishing people and nurturing the planet through sustainable healthy diets for all".
Launched in 2015, the FOOD 2030 initiative focuses in particular on the role of European research and innovation in building a sustainable food system.
The high-level event links the global World Food Day campaign for action across sectors to make sustainable healthy diets affordable and available for everyone with the Research and Innovation context of the EU.
In addition to a lunch conference taking place at the Committe of the Regions, there will be a reception hosted by EIT Food in the evening.
More information about the programme and registration will follow shortly.
