The European Commission has launched a public online consultation on the implementation aspects of the future EU Research and Innovation Framework Programme Horizon Europe. Anyone with an interest in future EU research and innovation priorities is invited to contribute to its co-design until 15 September 2019.
The European Commission and the Council have provisionally agreed on the Horizon Europe legislative packages in April 2019. Based on this agreement, a Strategic Plan is to put forward the targeted impacts for the investment in research and innovation and the priorities for the first four years of the implementation of Horizon Europe (2021-2024). In parallel, the Commission has begun designing the Implementation strategy, a tool to focus attention, planning efforts and resources to the rules, processes, systems, document and guidance, so that they are ready in time for the programme start.
This consultation is linked to the online consultation on strategic planning in Horizon Europe which was opened in early July. The results of both online consultations will be discussed during the European Research and Innovation Days on 24 to 26 September 2019 in Brussels.
