Internship at the liason office in Moscow

The liaison office of Freie Universität Berlin in Moscow is looking for an intern for the period from September 2018 through March 2019.
The Liaison Office in Moscow has the task of attracting potential doctoral students and students to Freie Universität Berlin and of maintaining and expanding cooperative efforts between Freie Universität and Russian universities and other research institutions in Russia. The office is located at the Moscow State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO).
Under the guidance of the Head of the Moscow Liaison Office, you will have the following tasks:
◾Providing consultation and information for prospective Russian students
◾Participation at trade fairs, webinars and presentations as well as at events in Moscow, St. Petersburg and possibly beyond
◾Event management, including the event "50 years of cooperation Berlin - St. Petersburg"
◾Operational implementation of the marketing concept of the liaison office, especially in relevant Russian social media channels
◾Maintenance of the Liaison Office website and assistance with the publication of the regional newsletter
◾Support of study programs of Freie Universität Berlin in Russia
◾General support in the tasks of the liaison office
Student or graduate of a university in Germany
◾Highly motivated and reliable individuals with the ability to work independently and to comprehend quickly
◾Very good knowledge of Russian and German, good to very good knowledge of English
◾Good knowledge of Freie Universität Berlin and/or identification with the institution
◾Experience in event management
◾Interpersonal, team-working and communicative skills
◾A personal interest for international university cooperation and its development
◾Experience with in the realm of website maintenance (CMS) and social networks is advantageous
◾Monthly allowance of € 800,-, flight and visa costs will be reimbursed
◾Possibility of low-cost accommodation in a dormitory (2-bed room)
◾Introductory and final seminar at the Higher School of Economics, Moscow as part of the "Doing Business in Russia" programme incl. certificate/14 ECTS
◾Insight into the functioning of liaison office international university
◾An exciting, rapidly changing and challenging working environment in Russia
◾Job reference after the end of the internship
Full-time (approx. 35 hours), assignments at weekends (higher education fairs) and in the evening (events)
