Hoda El-Mahgoub, liaison office manager in Egypt, invites to an online seminar on "Study and Research Opportunities at the Institute of Pharmacy of Freie Universität Berlin" on July 7, 2021.

In the first part of the event, Prof. Burkhard Kleuser, Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, will give an insight into the postgraduate study and research opportunities offered at the Institute of Pharmacy. For those interested in pursuing a master's degree in pharmacy, the workshop will highlight the master's program in pharmaceutical research at the FU Berlin. Under excellent scientific conditions, this master's program prepares students for research and development activities in the pharmaceutical industry or in scientific institutions.

Participation in this workshop will also provide information about the available research areas at FU Berlin and the possible research careers for pharmacy graduates in Germany. In addition, Dr. Ahmad Hasan, research associate at the Institute of Pharmacy, FU Berlin, will shed light on his career path in Germany. Dr. Mohamed Salem, lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Menoufia University and DAAD alumnus, will provide insights into the "do's" and "don't's".

The second part of the interactive workshop will highlight a thematic focus: expanding drug discovery. Cardiorenal and metabolic disorders will be discussed as an example of health challenges in a world increasingly facing many health challenges. In addition, the molecular mechanisms behind such disorders, including epigenetics, will be elucidated.
