Traditional journalism and media outlets have been experiencing tumultuous times. Since internet and social media spread all over the planet, the parameters for public communication and journalism have changed dramatically. Our panel moderated by Anne Haeming, Culture and Media Journalist and featuring Professors Alexander Görke, Margreth Lünenborg, Elaine Monaghan and James Shanahan will discuss topics such as the new demands on journalism; the increasing polarization in the field; the relationship between social media and traditional mass media; new distribution methods and the positive effects of social media on journalism, amongst others. The audience will have the opportunity to engage in the discussion during the subsequent Q&A session.
The event is public and free of charge.
