International Dialogue on Education ID-E Berlin - Exploring Difference: Bachelor's/Master's Transitions 20 Years after Bologna
ID-E Berlin's 15th conference on the subject of "Exploring Difference: Bachelor's / Master's Transitions 20 Years after Bologna"
The conference series International Dialogue on Education (ID-E Berlin) is a joint initiative of the British Coucil, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German-American Fulbright Commission, the Canadian Embassy in Germany, and Freie Universität Berlin. Their aim is to expand and improve the debates on science, research, and higher education among international partners.
The aim of ID-E Berlin's 15th conference "Exploring Difference: Bachelor's / Master's Transitions 20 Years after Bologna" is to discuss the experiences of German universities with the two-tier degree structure and to analyze country-specific adaptations and effects. Together with experts from Canada, USA, the UK, Germany and Poland we will discuss how Bachelor's and Master's transitions are handled in different education systems. Participants will be invited to debate whether the demands and objectives of the reform have been met in Germany and whether it is time for change.
