The Future of Transatlantic Relations and the EU’s Role in Asia under the Biden Presidency

27.01.2021 | 10:00 - 12:30

Keynote Speech and Discussion with Federica Mogherini (Rector, College of Europe and former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy)

With the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as the next President and Vice-President of the United States, European leaders and the public have high hopes in the relaunch of the transatlantic partnership. What does the Biden Presidency promise for relations across the Atlantic? How will it impact the EU’s role in Asia? Which developments can we expect on the Korean peninsula?

Federica Mogherini (Rector, College of Europe and former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy) will give a keynote speech followed by a discussion addressing these themes. Her lecture will open the 2021 Human Security and Development Forum series at the Korea Europe Center.

The event will be held in English and will take place digitally via Webex (the event will be recorded).
