The University Library (UB) and 15 departmental libraries form a combined library system consisting of roughly 8 million print media items.

In addition, users can access approximately 70,000 e-journals, more than 500,000 e-books, and 1,600 databases, as well as numerous e-publications made available through national licenses of the German Research Foundation (DFG), OLC services, and external providers via Primo Central (found on the library portal).
