Enrollment applications should primarily be sent by mail to the Student Administration office. If you wish to submit your application in person, you can place it in the mailbox in front of Iltisstr. 1, 14195 Berlin, or submit it to the Student Services Center (SSC) at Iltisstr. 4, 14195 Berlin. Please note that the only thing the SSC can do with your application is accept it. SSC staff cannot check your application to ensure that it is complete.
The enrollment application is specifically structured to apply to all applicants. This means it asks for information that may not apply to you. Please leave the fields that do not apply to you blank. The person processing your application will add the relevant information for you later in the process, based on the documents you have submitted.
After your application has been received a confirming email will be sent to you. Your application will be processed within approximately three to four weeks thereafter.
Once you have provided information regarding study-related activities in your online application, you need to provide documentation (officially certified copy) thereof.
Your enrollment application must be submitted before the deadline. Should further documents be required you will receive an alerting email, stating your new deadline to submit the missing documents.
Please log in to the DoSV application portal of the Freie Universität Berlin to access your applications overview. The section “Persönliche Informationen” (personal information) will provide you with your DoSV application number (Bewerbernummer): a six-digit number beginning with the “5”.
You will not receive an application number if you have been admitted to doctoral study. You do not need to fill out this information in your enrollment application.
Please state the study program according to your admission to doctoral study.
