The arts and media administration program is conceived as a practice-oriented master’s degree program that integrates transdisciplinary theory with hands-on, experiential knowledge drawn from various cultural and media contexts. Core competencies for managing and leading a cultural institution or program are acquired through a paradigm of management that is oriented toward behavior and culture and includes questions about the aesthetics of perception. With its integrative concept, the program directly links the theoretical foundations of cultural and media studies, as well as aspects of communication studies, economics, law, and technology, to project and institution management.
