Before applying, you should carefully check to which one of the four groups you belong to.
Holding a general higher education entrance qualification (group 1) you can apply for all study programs. You have to submit the following documents:
|application for admission||with signature|
|certificate of your advanced continuing or professional education program (Aufstiegsfortbildung) or a certificate of a government-operated or government-accredited vocational school (Fachschule)||officially certified form including the final grade|
|school grade report, certificate, or transcript||showing that you meet the necessary language prerequisites for your chosen program in officially certified form|
|proof(s) of academic or professional reasons for taking up undergraduate studies (first semester)||for programs with limited admissions (impacted programs, in case you have completed your 55th year of age|
Application for study programs with restricted admission capacity:
Please fill in the appropriate online application form carefully, send the data and print the letter addressed to Freie Universität Berlin (application for admission). Sign the letter and send it by mail to the address indicated within the deadline.
With some study programs the Freie Universität Berlin takes part in the dialogue-oriented admission procedure (DoSV).
Application for enrollment in study programs without restricted admission capacity:
Please fill out the online-form carefully. Then a registration form is produced. Sign the letter and send it with the above mentioned documents by mail to the address indicated within the deadline.
