Workshops for Junior Researchers

To expand the academic network of junior researchers at the Berlin-Dahlem Research Campus, the Center for Research Strategy supports the organization of interdisciplinary workshops. All junior researchers from Freie Universität Berlin who have participated in at least one event of the Junges Wissenschaftsforum Dahlem are eligible to apply. Members of independent research institutions affiliated with the university on the Berlin-Dahlem Research Campus or of Charité can act as co-applicants. Applications can be submitted to the Center for Research Strategy anytime.

Applications can be made for a maximum of 1.000, - Euros per workshop. The applicant is responsible for organizing the event.

Workshops should:

  • Have an interdisciplinary concept
  • Be designed for junior researchers
  • If possible, include junior researchers from partner institutions of Freie Universität or Charité
  • Possibly, within the limit of the budget, include junior researchers from other regional, national or international institutions or universities.

  • brief description of the topic and objective of the workshop
  • details on the format and schedule of the event
  • information on the target group (e.g., junior professors, heads of junior research groups, postdocs)
  • budget calculations.
