You are welcome to visit our Information Center for detailed information on the academic programs offered at Freie Universität Berlin.

Folders, magazines, and books are available for your own research on any topic relating to the university’s academic programs. The reading area offers a quiet place for you to study materials at your leisure. There are also five PC workstations available for your use. Independent use of these materials is permitted anytime during the business hours of the Center for Academic Advising and Psychological Counseling. Trained student assistants are also on hand and happy to help with any questions you may have.

  • Subject-specific folders: In addition to individual subject descriptions, these folders also include the study and examination regulations and, where applicable, course catalogs with commentary.
  • Reference library (in German): In exchange for a small deposit, you can check out the literature on studying at the university that is listed in the catalog for use in the reading area.
  • Web guide (WebWegweiser, in German): You can see the Web guide for a selection of relevant websites having to do with academic matters and other tips and guidance to help you with online research.
  • Magazines: The following magazines are on display for your use: Uni-Magazin, the brochure Von der Schule an die Freie Universität Berlin, hochschulstart.de information, and other brochures.
