We have all been there: lectures with 100 slides in 45 Min, seminars in which only the teacher is talking, after which students have no idea what the experiments they were performing actually tried to prove. Teaching at university is often well intended but does not always reach the aspired outcome – the learning of the student.

The workshop covers the basics of professional university teaching: the shift from teaching to learning. The participants will improve their methodological knowledge about the teaching – learning interaction and how that setting can be influenced effectively.
The aim is to reach a level of learner-centered teaching that leads to a deep-level learning approach on the side of the students. Hence, interaction with and motivation of the students is in the focus of this course.
Short inputs from the trainer, group discussions, reflection of own teaching experiences, micro-teaching with feedback from the group and the trainer.
