Grant Program of Dahlem Research School

Dahlem Research School (DRS) offers additional financial support to its doctoral candidates through a competitive Grant Program. The last due date for fully completed applications is June 25th 2012.

Important Notice: Our Grant Program is funded by the Excellence Initiative. The funding period ends on October 31, 2012 which is the final date for disbursement of funds for all grants. Grant applications will therefore only be accepted until June 25, 2012.

Short-Term Grants for DRS Doctoral Candidates

• Start-up Grants

for outstanding graduates during the interval period between admission to a doctoral program and its official start

• Travel Grants

for participation at international academic events and summer schools abroad

• Research Grants

for lengthy research stays at a university/institution abroad

• Co-Funding for Academic Events

arranged and held by doctoral candidates of Dahlem Research School for doctoral candidates at Freie Universität Berlin.

• Completion Grants

for doctoral candidates in the completion phase of their doctoral project

• Child care subsidies ("Kinderzuschläge") for doctoral candidates during doctoral studies
