Application Procedure & Required Documents

To apply, please register with the DRS online application platform. Once registered, please fill out the online application form and upload all required documents.

Deadline for applications: 13 March 2015, 12 noon

Incomplete applications and applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

Note: You must describe any ethics issues that may arise in your proposal and complete the ethics issues table on the online application platform, even if you believe that there are no ethics issues. For any ethics issues raised, you have to show in the relevant section of your proposal that you a) have taken the relevant EU legislation into account in the design of the project, b) have sought or are planning to seek the approval of relevant local/ national (ethics) committees and, when appropriate, the relevant competent authorities. Detailed information on identifying and dealing with ethics issues is provided in the GUIDE FOR APPLICANTS - Marie Curie Actions (Ethics). Please note that the other Marie Curie guides mentioned on the cover of the Ethics Guide do not apply to the DRS Postdoc Fellowships.

Documents to be uploaded:
  • Project proposal (10 A4 pages max.) including the following points:
- Summary of no more than one page
- Context, scientific questions and objectives of your research project
- Current state of research and most relevant literature
- Theoretical framework and research methods
- Bibliography/ References
  • Doctoral certificate/ certified translation
  • MA/ MSc or equivalent certificate/ certified translation
  • BA / BSc or equivalent certificate/ certified translation
  • List of publications, presentations, prizes and awards
  • 2 Letters of References (using the online application system, all referees must also submit their supporting letters in advance of the deadline.)
  • For applicants to the Dahlem Humanities Center only: a supporting letter from a professor in the humanities at Freie Universität Berlin
