How we will live tomorrow depends on the research we do today. At an university, research results are generated every day. Those results can be the basis of future products or services. The Research to Market Challenge is an excellent opportunity for fast evaluation of a product or business idea. This competition is open to ideas from research activities at Freie Universität, Charité and associated institutions that focus on the healthcare sector, information and communication technology, and media and the creative sector. The best proposals receive award money totaling 6,000 euros.

Every year we call for technologies, products, services and business ideas in an early stage with a close connection to research. The submitted ideas are reviewed by an expert jury on their level of innovation and their future market potential. All participants will receive a professional feedback, recommendations and assistance in the implementation of the idea into the market. The competition has two stages: In the first round ten participants will be selected which can develop their idea with the support of experts in an one-day workshop. Afterwards the jury will select three winners for each competition on the basis of the submitted idea papers. The confidentiality of the submitted ideas is guaranteed.

The two awards are each endowed with the following price money:

1st place : 1,500 euro
