For more than twenty years Freie Universität has been holding public lectures over a broad range of topics. Interested individuals are invited to attend these lectures and be exposed to well-founded analyses of current problems, new results from all fields of research that are presented in a generally understandable manner, and dialog and discussion about issues in scholarship and science, society, nature, and technology.

With this series Freie Universität Berlin presents itself as a university that is open to anyone interested in science and scholarship. We would like to show you what we are working on, to make results publicly known, and to offer orientation for the complex questions of our time.

We invite you to participate in these stimulating and multifaceted meetings, in which distinguished scientists and scholars present their results and analyses.

The schedule is also available at the beginning of each semester from the coordinating office.

Some of the lectures are given in English. Please see the current program for details.
