Geography, Earth Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Pharmacy, and Physics Were Reassessed

In the most recent university ranking of the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE), subjects at Freie Universität Berlin were again ranked very high. New achievements were recorded, particularly in the field of physics. The university also ranked in the top group in mathematics, geography, pharmacy, Earth sciences, and computer science, just as in 2012 when these subjects were last assessed.
In the CHE Ranking one third of the subjects are re-evaluated each year. The subjects evaluated this year are geography, Earth sciences, computer science, mathematics, pharmacy, and physics. According to CHE, more than 300 universities and universities of applied science in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands are evaluated. In addition to facts related to the classes taught, teaching methods, facilities, and research, the rankings also include the results of surveys of some 9,000 professors and 150,000 students.
