Freie Universität Berlin in cooperation with the Heinrich Böll Foundation organized two lectures at MGIMO

Ahmet O. Evin, a professor at the Political Center Instanbul at the At Sabanci University in Instanbul, gave a short lecture for about 20 students of the Faculty of Politics of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University) on “The Turkish-Russian rapprochement in a changing world order.” The lecture was followed with a lively discussion including participation by students and also the professors of MGIMO.
At the same time, Oğuz Türkyilmaz, inter alia chairman of the Energy Commission of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers and working as a consultant, gave a talk at the International Institute of Energy Diplomacy of the MGIMO on “Perspectives on the Russian-Turkish-European energy cooperation.” More than 30 advanced students attended. After the talk the vice director of the Institute, Sergey Vasilev, led a discussion on current developments in the Turkish energy sector.
Both experts form Turkey were invited to Russia by the Heinrich Böll Foundation for discussions on Turkey, Russia, and the EU.
