The German-Russian Interdisciplinary Science Center (G-RISC) is a Center of Excellence established in 2010. The main offices are based at St. Petersburg State University and Freie Universität Berlin. It relies on funding and regulations of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). G-RISC provides a unique interdisciplinary research platform supporting education and research in binational projects between Russia and Germany.
Focus is interdisciplinary research in Physics, Geophysics, Physical Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Note: Proposals from Astrophysics, Materials Science, and Biophysics will be considered for the 16th Call for Proposals.
Mobility funds for excellent young Russian students, graduate students, or post-docs up to the age of 35 years aiming interdisciplinary research projects in Germany,where support can be requested for research stays up to 2 months.
Scientific exchange between research institutions ONLY from St. Petersburg and Berlin/Potsdam devoted to the recently established Priority Research Topic: "Structure and Dynamics of Nanoscopic Matter" will receive specific preference. Proposals aiming to contribute to this Priority Research Topic are strongly encouraged and should indicate this in the proposal. Proposals from other regions in Russia and Germany cannot be considered for this proposal category.
Candidates who participate in mobility programs funded by G-RISC must have sufficient language skills in English.
Proposals must be written in English language. They must be submitted before the deadline on October 31, 2017 by e-mail to email@example.com.
