The CIC engages in a range of activities to support researchers at Freie Universität in establishing cooperative research programs and projects:
- Short-term scholarships and grants for foreign doctoral candidates, postdocs, and scholars spending time at Freie Universität
- Short-term scholarships and grants for doctoral candidates, postdocs, and scholars who wish to travel to foreign research institutions for the further development of joint projects
- Reimbursement of travel expenses incurred during preparations for international cooperation projects and financing of fact-finding missions
- Operational support and financing of international marketing and PR activities
- Financial support for international meetings, conferences, and summer school programs that serve to develop new cooperative programs and projects
- Funding and organization of international alumni activities
- Advising applicants on proposals and preparations for international cooperative projects and initiatives
