Thomas Werneke studied History, Sociology and Political Science at Humboldt University. He is close to completing his Ph.D. with a study on the western human rights language during the Cold War. He is an associated historian at the Centre for Contemporary History (ZZF) in Potsdam. For several years he taught classes for the FUBiS-Program, for the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) and at Humboldt University. His main research fields are the history of the Cold War, contemporary German history and the history of political theory.
