Ms. Künstler studied theatre studies, economics and sociology at the University of Leipzig. After receiving her M.A. in 2001, she worked at different theatres in Berlin and Cottbus in the field of organization and public relations. She gained her first experience in German Language teaching at private language schools in Prague in the year 2004. Between 2006 and 2008 she taught German at Tel Aviv University and at the Goethe-Institut Tel Aviv. At the same time she studied methodology, didactics and teaching “Landeskunde” at the Goethe-Institut Tel Aviv and Munich. In 2008 she received the “Grünes Diplom” from the Goethe-Institut for teaching German as Foreign Language. After moving back to Germany, she mainly taught at the Goethe-Institut Berlin in adult and youth programs, but also at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. In addition, she coordinated international projects of the Goethe-Institut Prague and the EUNIC (European National Institutes for Culture) for Germany in 2009 and 2010. Currently she works as a German instructor at the Berlin Campus of Bahcesehir University and as a workshop leader for training international German language teachers at the Goethe-Institut Berlin.
