Born in Berlin, Ms. Baur studied Theology and Music in Berlin, Leipzig, and Madrid, and also spent a number of months at Syracuse University in the U.S. She completed her Diploma in Music at the Conservatory of Music and Theatre Felix-Mendelssohn-Bartholdy in Leipzig and her Diploma in Theology at Humboldt University in Berlin in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
As a Ph.D. candidate at Leipzig University, she is preparing her dissertation in the fields of patristics (a sub-field of theology) and sociology. She taught religious studies in the Evangelical School Leipzig and the Fliedner Foundation in Madrid, before serving as academic assistant for issues relating to the ancient and orthodox churches in the Confessional Institute of the EKD (Evangelical Church in Germany) in 2015 and taking up work as an editor at Gustav-Adolf-Werk in Leipzig, from 2015 onward. She published “Transformations of the religious. Learning processes between early Christianity and the modern age” in MD (Materialdienst) in 2016.
