Barbara Stöckle grew up in Southern Germany. From 1985 to 1988, she attended an acting school in Karlsruhe. In 1989, she came to Berlin. She studied German Literature, Theatre Sciences and Ethnology at FU Berlin from 1989-1994. After her studies, she worked in different theatre projects as an assistant director, director, teacher and author. She founded a free theatre for children in 1994 and since 2009, she has been performing plays with children in a kindergarten. In 2004, her play “Der Unfall” was nominated at “Heidelberger Stückemarkt”. In 2010, she started an advanced training for “German as a Foreign Language” at Goethe-Institut and has been working as a teacher for German as a Foreign Language at Business Language Centre Frankfurt and Deutschakademie Berlin since 2013.
