The decision to conduct the audit familiengerechte hochschule at Freie Universität

It is a central concern of Freie Universität by means of a family friendly personnel policy and university structure to ensure that members of the faculty and staff are better able to balance their jobs and academic pursuits with family needs and that students with children can balance their studies and home life.
In the spring of 2007, Freie Universität developed its concept of family-conscious higher education policy. As a result, Freie
Universität received the basic “familiengerechte Hochschule” (Family-Friendly Higher Education) certificate on June 18, 2007. The university was re-certified in 2010 and 2014.
