The Ernst-Reuter-Stiftung can function as an umbrella organization, managing a non-independent foundation whose purpose you determine yourself in trust. This is possible even if the purpose of this foundation for tax purposes is not identical, or not fully identical, with its aims.
If you include the Ernst-Reuter-Stiftung in your will, you can set a bequest that determines how the Foundation is to utilize your assets. You can also name the Foundation as a beneficiary under your life or pension insurance.
The Ernst-Reuter-Stiftung can also manage your assets as part of a loan. Unless you specify otherwise, the interest earned on your loan will be added to the assets of the Foundation or used to fulfill ongoing tasks.
