Project Summary: Assistive technologies (ATs) are designed for persons suffering from dementia and their caregivers. Many ATs are currently available and this numbers is constantly increasing. However, ATs seem to diffuse slowly outside research and clinical settings. In this project, we investigate the wishes of potential AT users. Moreover, we also examine what expectations experts in fields related to gerontechnology have towards ATs. These findings are expected to contribute to a more widespread adoption of ATs, as they will likely provide strong implications for how vendors can better address the needs of prospective technology users by through improving business model designs.
