In line with the legal stipulations (StipG § 3), these scholarships are intended for especially high-achieving students. In addition to applicants’ previous academic records and personal experience, other factors, such as social activities, willingness to assume positions of responsibility, or special social, family, or personal circumstances may be considered. These may stem from an applicant’s family origin, for instance, or from an immigrant background.
