The Leibniz Prize holder and world-renowned scholar of Arabic language and literature, Prof. Beatrice Gründler, has delivered two Leibniz Lectures in India, one in Delhi and one in Hyderabad. The lectures focused on different aspects of the Arabic work Kalīla wa-Dimna, a body of texts with ancient Indian and Persian roots and a long and complex history of textual transmission, spanning diverse languages and regions. The lectures reached large audiences of students and scholars in both cities.
