Arastu Salehi, M.A., studied Political Science at the University of Bremen (B.A.) He graduated his Masters in Political Science (M.A.) at the Otto-Suhr Institute of Freie Universität Berlin with a focus on natural gas and energy policies in the Caspian region, Political Economy and price formation mechanisms of the European Gas markets.
He gained in depth work experience in the international gas industry working for WIEH, a joint venture company of the Wintershall Holding and Gazprom OAO, as well as in his position as consultant for International Gas Supply at Bayerngas GmbH in Munich.
Currently Arastu Salehi is a Doctoral Candidate at the Berlin Centre for Caspian Region Studies of the Freie Universität Berlin, where his research concentrates on the dynamics of the tripolar structure of world markets for natural gas and their impact on the future development of international relations between producer and consumer countries.
