Mgr. Michael Liesener, M.A.,studied International Relations and Diplomacy at the Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica (Slovakia) and as a DAAD scholar Intercultural Communication and European Studies at the University of Fulda. He gained work experience as a trainee at the Slovakian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP). Moreover, he was involved in several projects of the Environmental Policy Research Center (FFU). Since summer term 2009, he is graduating within the framework of CREES.
His dissertation deals with the importance of the Central Asian energy resources for the European energy supply security on the example of Kazakhstan.
