On Saturday, October 19th, Beihang University's gym turned from a place of physical education to the site of intellectual growth, as the International Graduate Scholarship Fair (IGSF) set up its many booths.
Representatives of numerous universities faced questions by interested students and supplied the knowledge-hungry crowd with information material and advice regarding their planning of studying abroad. IGSF has been organised by the CSC every year since 2009. The aim of the fair is to introduce Chinese students to post-graduate programs, which are funded by a CSC scholarship. The fair takes a tour from Beijing over Harbin to Shanghai.
This year, Beijing Office joined the fair as Freie Universität's representative again - and very sucessfully, too! During a total number of over 150 single interviews, the Beijing Office team informed excellent students of mainly high-rank universities about the opportunity offered to them by the FU Berlin-CSC Joint PhD Program. The program as well as FU Berlin found great interest among the students, which proves the ever-growing reputation of the university in China.
After the interview-marathon, the gym was given back to serving sports. However, talking can be exhausting too, as all participants noticed by the end of the day.
