German Science Day

Nine German universities and organizations together under one roof  in the German science day

Celebrating the launch of the new German Science Centre (DWZ) in Cairo on 12 November, the nine partner organisations will host the German Science Day on their premises in Zamalek. The day includes a number of workshops, presentations, movie screenings, discussions and a lot of space for consultation and interaction with German experts and representatives from German top universities and research institutes, funding and educational organisations. 

 

On this day the Freie Universität Berlin will present the following events :

4 p.m.: Alexander Paprotté: “Direkt zur Kanzlerin - A student's initiative for the promotion of social dialogue”,

4 p.m.: Dr. Gabriele Freitag: “The Berlin Graduate School Muslim Cultures and Societies”,

7 p.m.: Prof. Dr. John M. Sullivan: “Mathematics and Arts”,

9 p.m.: Cairo Talks on Transformation and Change (CTTC): “After America’s Presidential Elections: Implications for Egypt and Europe”,  with Prof. Dr. Lora Anne Viola and Prof. Dr. Hassan Nafaa;  

 

Additionally Freie Universität Berlin will offer special counselling hours on “Studying at FU Berlin” and the following PhD programs: Biomedical Sciences, Berlin Mathematical School, Berlin Graduate School Muslim Cultures and Societies, Graduate School of North American Studies.
