Promoting Equality at Egyptian Universities

A six-day conference for representatives of the Egyptian government and universities along with representatives from Freie Universität started with a reception in the Office of the President of Freie Universität on Tuesday afternoon. The talks and meetings will continue through Saturday. The main goal is to initiate a dialogue on gender equality at Egyptian universities. The "Gender Egypt" conference is part of a project at Freie Universität in support of Egypt’s transition process. It is initially being funded for two years by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
